April 2015: Many new images have been added to The Meerkat Magic Valley Reserve Riverine Ecology taken over March 2015 at The Meerkat Magic Valley Reserve of The Meerkat Magic Conservation Project gallery, including views, fauna and flora - including: The African helmeted turtle; African side-necked turtle; crocodile turtle; marsh terrapin (Pelomedusa subrufa) is one of the many amphibians that visit the variety of water features located in The Meerkat Magic Valley Reserve of The Meerkat Magic Conservation Project- home to the Ungulungu meerkats and Tsebokolodi yellow mongooses, including a river and numerous dams and canals and ponds.

And some inhabitants of The Meerkat Magic Valley Reserve such as the Cattle Tick; Rhipicephalus microplus (formerly Boophilus microplus) make a living off others - and are not welcome guests...to avoid parasite loads many burrowing species like the Ungulungu meerkats and Tsebokolodi yellow mongooses frequently do "house cleaning" - actively digging out burrow chambers and also moving from one burrow system to another to escape from these unwanted blood drinking guests!
